Photoshoot for Aisha Green

www.madewithlovealg.blogspot.com/

I did a shoot today for fashion studies student Aisha Green - in the vintage book shop in winton. it was really amazing to be able to shoot there, as it has been a little favorite location of mine for a while. its like a museum so full of books and history. Here are a few sneak previews of the day, I shot so much its going to take a while to edit, but thats a nice relaxing part i find and it was good to work with Aisha as she really knew what she wanted from the shoot and that is always helpful for me as i am still learning in that department.

GEMMA BOOTH

my all time favorite photographer - Gemma Booth. I just love her style and the way she captures ambient light in her images, she has also started doing moving images aswell to compliment her photographs, and I am a big fan of her portfolio. This outdoor fashion photography style is something I really want to continue and adapt my own style to the images the way Gemma Booth can, to portraits, documentary and fashion, she has tried it all and given it a very strong personal edge.

Roxy girl perfume ad

been spending the last few days editing my images from the Roxy Girl perfume shoot - I have decided on a double page spread and a front cover, here is the progress,  i took inspiration from Cooler mag, my fave magazine of all time - I love its style and the way it celebrates girls in  water sports and fashion. hoping to print soon and start focusing on my work placement! so much going on at the moment!

Brain melt...

For my creative project I have been changing my mind a lot, going with what has been working and what has been not working so well. today I went to shoot at the Nairobi Slum school project - charity shop that is ran by so many lovely people that really want to make a difference, and were my original idea for the community project. I went there with full intentions of shooting a portrait project, but to me it really fitted the brief of a community project. So I have been playing with this idea and seeing how I can portray the real sense of community I felt from meeting the team properly, and getting the chance to photograph the work they do.

obviously, there will be real words under the images....
